Philosophy
MBA in IT provides students the opportunity to learn aspects of Information Technology as they apply to the attainment of organizational goals, management, and the use of information technology as a means of sustaining competitive advantage. This programme helps to develop core understanding in the IT-related domains such as IT project management, information system auditing, emerging technologies, big data and cloud management, cybersecurity, IT entrepreneurship and more. At the same time, along with updated technological knowledge, students develop the managerial skills for managing IT projects with a great deal of understanding business related issues. This programme prepares students as qualified IT professionals at the management level in different sectors such as the government, NGOs, INGOs, IT industries, banks and various other sectors.
Overview
The PBS MBA in IT program conceived primarily to suit the needs of the working professionals is a 2 years, 60-credit program structured to allow enough flexibility for (working) students. Equally competitive with the existent full-time courses within the domestic curricula from national universities, this Westcliff University degree offered by PBS is an internationally-recognized degree, which is hybrid in nature. While it adheres to a global standard of curriculum to garner international recognition, it also integrates local business/ managerial values along with cutting edge IT skills to produce human resources that cater to the needs of the domestic as well as international market.
